Our team consists of myself, my associate and selected freelance translators. Briefly, I am an engineer with engineering degrees from universities in Germany and the US, as well as 24 years of engineering experience in both countries. In 1995 I founded Professional Engineering Translations and have since been active as a language consultant serving machinery manufacturers, patent attorneys and engineering consultants. My associate is fluent in both English and German and has a Master’s degree in English from an American Ivy League university. From time to time as needed, we team up with experienced translators that are professionals in their respective fields.

Interfacing your team with ours is easy. The client assigns a contact person for routine tasks such as sending and receiving text. Email is the preferred choice; fax is available when needed. Very large files can be exchanged via FTP. Questions are quickly resolved by phone or email. Visits to the client’s offices for face-to-face meetings can be arranged as needed.

Our translations are prepared at our office in Naperville, Il, USA. Our text retrieval system enables us to quickly retrieve text from previous, client-reviewed translations for incorporation into a new translation. This system speeds up the translation of operating manuals by recycling repetitive phrases, and facilitates the translation of marketing materials by reusing client-approved marketing verbiage. We are known for quick turnaround, and accurate and carefully edited translations that are sensitive to the local culture. We offer desktop publishing services, if required.
